Au Pair Orientation and Training
Au Pair USA includes an extensive and comprehensive Au Pair Orientation and Training program that all au pairs attend in New York City before traveling to their host family.
The Au Pair Orientation and Training program includes:
- Child Development for Newborns through Age 12
- Communicating with Children
- Age-Appropriate Activities
- Culture Shock
- Insurance, J-1 Visas, and Program Regulations
- Review of the Au Pair USA Childcare Handbook written by early childhood educators, consultants, and nurses
The Child Health and Safety Program
Au pairs also spend a full day on child health and safety with an American Red Cross licensed instructor focusing on:
- First Aid, CPR, and Rescue Breathing
- Accident Prevention Awareness
- Car, Fire, Toy, Indoor and Outdoor Safety
- Basic Child Healthcare
