Phoenix, Chandler and Mesa, AZ

Au Pair USA has a very active cluster of au pairs and host families in the communities around Phoenix, Arizona including many areas of Maricopa County. Each month, Au Pair USA Local Coordinators work with host families, helping them with the matching process and answering their questions about the program. They also arrange monthly meetings and social events for au pairs to help them build friendships and adjust to life in the United States.

About Kara:

Hello! My name is Kara Hendricks, and I am the Local Coordinator who will be working with you during your year in America. I first became an Au Pair USA Local Coordinator when I lived in California. Before that time, I was a teacher for 11 years.
My family and I moved to Arizona in 2005 and I rejoined Au Pair USA in July 2007. We live in Gilbert, which is a fast-growing city, just 30 miles south of the capital, Phoenix. My husband, Clive, and I have a son, Hayden, who was born in 2001, and a daughter, Lia Rose, who was born in 2003. We enjoy traveling, photography, camping, hiking, biking, music, movies, museums and exploring areas of Arizona.

I look forward to getting to know you and I am glad you are part of our cluster. Between your host family, the other au pairs and me, you will always have someone here to talk to and something fun to do.
