Each month, our Au Pair USA Local Coordinators arrange meetings and social events for au pairs.
Recent events included:

 

Scavenger Hunt/Road Rally
We met at the shopping center for coffee first. Then we divided into smaller groups. Each team was responsible for collecting as many items from a list or taking pictures of themselves acting out certain tasks. Some of the items on the list included collecting shopping bags with the name of a store on it, collecting as many quarters with different states, or collecting an orange lollipop. Some of the tasks they had the opportunity to take a picture of them doing included, taking a picture of all team members in pajamas, taking a picture of each team member playing an instrument, or taking a picture of 2 team members kissing a person over the age of 80 years old. It was a lot of fun and all of the au pairs were very creative.

 

December Holiday Party & Gift Exchange
We met at local restaurant that is also an arcade called Dave & Busters. Each au pair brought a gift for our gift exchange and we played the “White Elephant” game. We picked numbers to see what order we would each get to open a present. Each person has the opportunity to open an unwrapped gift or take a gift away from someone that has already opened a gift. It is a lot of laughs and you never know what gift you will end up with until all the gifts are opened. We also had a great dinner and stayed after dinner to play arcade games.

 

 

Mary-Kay Make-up Party
We met at my home and had a beauty consultant from Mary-Kay make-up come and give us beauty make-overs. We tried skincare products and applied make-up. It was fun to sit around with the girls and have snacks and do our make-up.
