San Francisco and Northern California

Au Pair USA has very active clusters of au pairs and host families in Northern California and the San Francisco Bay area. Each month, Au Pair USA Local Coordinators work with host families, helping them with the matching process and answering their questions about the program. They also arrange monthly meetings and social events for au pairs to help them build friendships and adjust to life in the United States.

Your Au Pair USA Local Coordinator:

Maureen Hughes-Gress

Maureen's community of au pairs and host families includes San Francisco, Santa Clara, Palo Alto, San Mateo, San Jose, Los Gatos, Burlingame, Cupertino, Napa Valley, Sonoma, and Marin County, CA.

About Maureen:

My name is Maureen Hughes-Gress. I am available to answer your questions, give you advice, and help you to have a great experience here in the United States.

I have been a Local Coordinator since 1998. I am originally from England and have lived in San Francisco since 1985. I came here as a nanny and although I have my U.S. citizenship, I still work part time as a nanny. I spent a year as an au pair in Denmark in 1975 so I know this experience is one you will never forget.

Please feel free to phone or e-mail me if you have any questions before you arrive. I look forward to meeting you, and wish you a great au pair year!

Best wishes,
Maureen
