Au Pair USA has a very active cluster of au pairs and host families in the communities around Stamford Connecticut, including many areas of Fairfield County. Each month, Au Pair USA Local Coordinators work with host families, helping them with the matching process and answering their questions about the program. They also arrange monthly meetings and social events for au pairs to help them build friendships and adjust to life in the United States.

About Christine:

Hello! My name is Christine Meek, and I have been a Local Coordinator with Au Pair USA since June 2003. Prior to that, I was a Marketing Communications Manager for American International Group, Inc. in New York City for many years. From 1989-1990, I lived abroad in Vitry Le Francois, France, as a Rotary International Exchange Student. When I first moved to France, I spoke and understood very little of the French language. By the end of my stay, I was completely fluent. This experience taught me what it is like to live in a foreign country where I was not a native speaker and the importance of learning about the culture.

My husband Chris and I have been married since August 2000. Chris is a Portfolio Manager for Goldman Sachs. We have a beautiful little girl named Alexa who was born in February 2003. When we are not working, Chris and I love to travel. We have been to many fun and beautiful places together, including Egypt, Greece, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, France and Jamaica.
