Atlanta, GA Au Pair Cluster Activities
Atlanta, Marietta, Alpharetta, Cumming, Decatur, Kennesaw, Norcross and Smyrna areas.

Provided by the Gena Hampton cluster

Each month, our Au Pair USA Local Coordinators arrange meetings and social events for au pairs.
Recent events included:

Au Pair "World Series of Baseball" - We celebrated the "TWELFTH ANNUAL AUPAIR WORLD SERIES OF BASEBALL" with a host family day and trophy ceremony!! Each aupair received an individually engraved trophy with his or her name and the occasion. Great fun!!

Ski Trip - We all had a GREAT time on the annual ski trip! 38 all together... including some friends. The day was glorious for a short hike at Tallulah Gorge (although not everyone was up to hiking DOWN to the swinging bridge)! Being with these young people reminds me why I love the exchange world!

Country Celebration - Our annual "country celebration" was a great success. All the au pairs gather and we spend the day playing games and making flags from our home countries. Everyone shares a bit about where they are from, and why they decided to join the Au Pair USA program.

Football - For our cluster meeting, we spent a beautiful Saturday outside, learning how to play American football. We divided up into two teams, and everybody got to play and had a great time.

Stone Mountain Hike - A large group of us spent the day hiking on Stone Mountain, which is just outside the city of Atlanta. From the top, you can see for 10 miles! We have a very active and energetic cluster, and most of our au pairs love day trips like this, where they can be outside.

White Water Rafting - Over 40 of us took a bus north into Tennesee to go white water rafting! We take the au pairs rafting every year because it is something that most au pairs might never get to do at home! It's a little scary, but always fun, and many of the au pairs can't wait to ride the rapids again!
