Host Family Features
Comprehensive Screening Process
Host families and au pairs are selected for our program with great care. Au pairs are interviewed in their home country, tested for English language skills and must submit references, a medical report, and a police clearance report. Au pairs must also have previous child-care experience. As a host family you must submit references and be interviewed in your home by an Au Pair USA local coordinator to ensure you can provide suitable living arrangements for the au pair.
Exclusive Matching
Au Pair USA is unique because only one family at a time can review an particular au pair's application. Our placement coordinators will send you carefully chosen applications and you will have 48 hours to exclusively review them, eliminating competition among host families to be the first to choose an au pair.
Guaranteed Support for Host Families and Au Pairs
Au Pair USA is committed to providing personal service and support to all participants. Our staff is trained to ensure that host families and au pairs have the best experience possible. Local coordinators also provide support for you and your au pair throughout the program. They will organize social events and informational meetings for the au pairs, and are also available to help with any issues that may arise. We ask more of our local coordinators than other agencies, because they have the skills, experience, and desire to make our program the best au pair program in the USA.
