Chicago, IL Au Pair Cluster Activities
Includes Chicago, Elgin, Flossmoor, Naperville, Oak Brook, Plainfield, and River Forest areas. Also covers Northwest Indiana communities.

Each month, our Au Pair USA Local Coordinators arrange meetings and social events for au pairs. Some of the recent events included:

Ice Skating at Millennium Park. Afterward, we enjoyed a cup of delicious hot chocolate.

 

Lunch in "Little Italy" - One of my favorite neighborhoods in Chicago. Great food and a great atmosphere.

 

Bowling and Pizza Night - The au pairs always have lots of fun at this event.

Lunch in Chinatown- Another fun Chicago neighborhood. We ordered a lot of different dishes and shared them all "family style".

Lunch at Ed Debevics Diner - This is a famous Chicago eatery where the waiters dance on the counters!

 

Navy Pier Ferris Wheel Ride - The breathtaking view from the top overlooks the city and Lake Michigan.

"Taste of Chicago" Event. We spend a day during the 4th of July weekend experiencing food from over 100 different Chicago restaurants.

Boat Ride. We travel through the Chicago River and then go out on Lake Michigan.

Host Family Holiday Party - To celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah, the au pairs bring a holiday or traditional dessert from their home country and share the recipe (delicious).
