Includes Central Maryland suburbs of Washington DC; Towson, Columbia, Glen Burnie, Bowie, and Laurel, MD.

Provided by the Esme Smith cluster

Each month, our Au Pair USA Local Coordinators arrange meetings and social events for au pairs. Some of the recent events included:

Kennedy Center Millennium Stage - Attended a FREE Holiday performance. The award-winning steel drum troupe presented Caribbean Christmas. After the performance went to the Kennedy Center Café where you could order what you like from the menu. All aupairs brought a wrapped gift costing about $5 for a holiday gift exchange.

Karate and Self Defense Lesson - We met at the Marital Arts Academy for a free Karate and Self Defense demo. After the free lesson we went to a coffee shop nearby for coffee.

River Cruise - We had a fun-filled evening on a Capitol River Cruise boat to see the sights of DC. The boat left from the Washington Harbor in Georgetown.

Baseball Game - We attended a Big Train baseball game at the Cabin John Fields right near Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, MD.

Salsa Dance Lesson - We had a fun-filled evening with salsa lessons at a Beach/Luau Salsa Party.

Halloween - Our cluster meeting was held at Phillips Farm in Germantown to celebrate Halloween. The meeting included, a hayride, a walk and game through the corn maze, a bonfire where we heard ghost stories and made smores, and Pumpkin picking.
