Each month, our Au Pair USA Local Coordinators arrange meetings and social events for au pairs.
Recent events included:

 

Scavenger Hunt
We divided into groups, and each team had one hour to find the answers to a list of 40 questions. They ran all over our beautiful new shopping mall, finding out things like….which café had the best cheesecake, best times to go to the movie theatre, and where to buy an IPOD. The fastest team won prizes, but everyone had a great time!

 

Ice Skating
Each of the au pairs got a chance to strap on a pair of skates and take to the ice! Not everyone was an olympic skating champion, but we held on to eachother and managed to stay on our skates...most of the time! We certainly had a lot of laughs!

 

Volunteering at a Food Bank
The au pairs generously donated their Sunday morning to a charity called Stop Hunger Now, which coordinates food and medical aid shipments to people around the world. Their day was spent stocking, sorting, and boxing food and medical supplies that will be shipped to those in need.

 

Host Family Day Picnic at Pullen Park
Our host families and au pairs were all invited to join us for a barbeque and potluck lunch at Pullen Park in Raleigh. The host families got to relax and chat, while the au pairs and the kids all played games and enjoyed the playground. A great day for a picnic!
