Monmouth and Ocean County New Jersey Au Pair Cluster Activities
Includes Matawan, Farmingdale, Brick, Sea Girt, Marlboro, and other areas in Monmouth and Ocean County

Provided by the Kelly Bremmer cluster

Each month, our Au Pair USA Local Coordinators arrange meetings and social events for au pairs. Recent events included:

Ladies Night Out - Our au pairs and host moms took a night off to go out without the children and get to know eachother better. It was a night of relaxation and female bonding time, plus we all got to enjoy a delicious chocolate fondue!

Spring Planting and Crafts
A lot of our au pairs enjoy crafts and being outdoors, so we've planned a meeting where au pairs and kids can decorate their own flower pot. At the end of the day we've had a chance to hang out together, and everyone goes home with a new plant in their very own custom-designed flower pot.

Governor's Mansion Tour
We went to Drumthwacket, the historic and beutiful mansion where the Governor of New Jersey lives while in office. We toured the mansion and the spectacular gardens, and saw some of the historic buildings.

Annual Halloween Costume Party
Our cluster group joined another New Jersey cluster for a big party with some spooky fun. We shared Halloween traditions from other countries, and enjoyed lots of candy or Halloween cookies! Most of the au pairs chose to dress up in costumes to get into the spirit of the holiday.

Princeton University
We toured Princeton University, which has some of the oldest and most important historical buildings in the area. Nassau Hall, built in 1756, was the site of an important Revolutionary War battle and the temporary home of the Continental Congress.

Annual Host Family Day Picnic
All the host families in the cluster came to the Annual Host Family Day at Allaire State Park. Each family brought a dish to share with the rest of the cluster, and the families got to know eachother and the other au pairs. It was a great day!
