Each month, our Au Pair USA Local Coordinators arrange meetings and social events for au pairs.

 

Karaoke Night - We had a great time belting out our favorite songs at a Karaoke Night in Albany. It was loud and crowded but so fun! Everyone sang at least one song, and some people sang four or five songs! The au pairs loved every minute of it.

Ice Skating at the Empire State Plaza - One snowy, wet Saturday afternoon we made plans to go Ice Skating at the outdoor rink at the Capital complex in Albany. The weather wasn't cooperating, but we had a great time anyway!

 

 

 

Hockey Game - We took the au pairs to see Albany's minor league hockey team, the River Rats, play at the Pepsi Arena in Albany. The River Rats won; the au pairs ate some great junk food; and the evening was a glorious success.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Historic Tour of Hancock Village - The aupairs got to see a little bit of New England's history today visiting Hancock Village in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. We learned all about the Shaker religious sect (who colonized this part of the United States over 200 years ago) and learned about their customs, their furniture and crafts, their architecture, and their way of life back in the 1800's.

 

 

 

 

 

Holiday Party - All the au pairs were invited to my house for a holiday party. Everyone brought desserts from their country. We had so much food and sweets!
