Nassau County, Long Island Au Pair Cluster Activities
Includes Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, Oceanside, Baldwin, Malverne, Wantagh, Massapequa Park, Levittown and Long Beach areas.

Each month, our Au Pair USA Local Coordinators arrange meetings and social events for au pairs. Clusters also do occassional volunteer events, like walking for the March of Dimes or volunteering at a nursing home. Other recent events included:

Ice Skating - Everyone had a blast. The aupairs that knew how to ice skate helped the rest of us. Lots of laughs.

Visited Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum - Great chance for some really fun photos! Some of the "celebrities" we saw included Captain Jack Sparrow, Simon Cowell and Beyonce'.


"Fling Into Spring" - The aupairs enjoyed an evening of pampering at a beauty salon.

Ice Cream Night - Summer ice-cream, gelato, and some outragious desserts, at a Long Island cafe.

 

New York Yankees Baseball - A summer tradition! We went to see a baseball game at Yankee Stadium.

 

Backstage at "Oliver!" - The au pairs got to go behind the scenes at a performance of "OLIVER!" at Hofstra University. We saw how the special effects were done, and how the scenery was designed for the performance. A host father gave us all a guided tour.

 

Halloween Costume Party - Included a scavenger hunt, and prizes for most creative costumes.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC - Always a fun event. The au pairs loved the party atmosphere of the parade, and couldn't decide which of the big balloons was their favorite!

"Pot Luck holiday Party " - Host Families joined us for the party, with the au pairs cooking a sample dish from their home countries.
