Northern Virginia and Washington DC Area
Fairfax, Fauquier, Stafford and Loudoun Counties

Au Pair USA has several very active clusters of au pairs and host families in Northern Virginia and the Washington DC area. Each month, Au Pair USA Local Coordinators work with host families, helping them with the matching process and answering their questions about the program. They also arrange monthly meetings and social events for au pairs to help them build friendships and adjust to life in the United States.

About René:

My name is Jacqueline Rene' Brown. I was married to David my high school sweatheart 26 years ago. We have 3 children, 3 dogs, 5 horses a ferrett, chinchilla's and fish, plus an airplane and a little farm. Our children are: Steven, he is 23 and in college. Steven lived abroad for a year, in Brasil.  He is fluent in 3 languages, jumps motorcycles, and is into football and basketball.
Robbie is 18 and graduating high school. He loves to fly airplanes, ride motorcycles, and is a student pilot. My daughter Carin is 15 and in High  school. She loves to ride horses and floral design.  2008 Summer she will represent the USA in a 5 nation horse competition in Australia.  My husband is a pilot,  he loves to fly antique airplanes upside down.  David works with me and the au pairs but his occupation is as an engineer for the state.

I love international exchange, soccer and horses! and not always in that order. :-)  Our family has hosted 19 exchange students, from all around the world: Spain, Brazil, Japan, France, Germany, Tunisia, England, Uruguay and Russia. I have worked in the world of international exchange for 20 years, and it is my passion in life (outside my family of course!). I love to travel and site see locally, touring and checking out the local festivals.

I am excited to help au pairs with their adventure to the United States. I have worked within the world of exchange in many area's including, independent stays, summer programs and groups, and work study programs, High school exchange. I've got lots of experience working with both high school and college students.

Feel free to contact me any time...! I'm looking forward to my next friendship :-)

Best wishes
Rene'
