Au Pair USA has a very active cluster of au pairs and host families in the Seattle, Washington area. Each month, Au Pair USA Local Coordinators work with host families, helping them with the matching process and answering their questions about the program. They also arrange monthly meetings and social events for au pairs to help them build friendships and adjust to life in the United States.

About Virginia:

Welcome to Au Pair USA! My name is Virginia Lee, and I have been the local coordinator for the Seattle area since 2000.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself: I am married with 4 sons. We have an aupair of our own. We have been a host family with Au Pair USA for several years and I have worked as a coordinator since the spring of 2000. I really enjoy working with au pairs and helping them adjust to the Amerian culture. I'm very active working with the au pairs, my children, and other International students. I love travelling and learning other people’s languages and cultures. I have lived on both coasts of the United States and love them both. I look forward to helping you and your host families have a great year together.

About Virginia's Cluster:

  • Seattle is on Elliot Bay and is surrounded by mountains and water an all sides. It has a beautiful Skyline and views all around of Mt. Rainier and the Olympic and Cascade Mountains.
  • Seattle is made up of several neighborhoods and a wide variety of cultures. There is so much to see and do here that it would take more than a year to see it all. We have great restaurants, Theater, Nightlife, and lots of outdoor things to do and see.

  • Seattle stays green due to our climate. It is typically mild year long, and it rains often. It does not have much more rainfall then other cities, it just rains more frequently… the great benefit from that is the green green landscape. The people of Seattle are used to it and will still play rain or shine.
