As of Sunday June 12, 2022, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has updated their requirements for international travelers. When traveling internationally to the United States, passangers are no longer required to show documentation of a negative COVID-19 test result or proof of recovery.

It is required that all non-immigrant, non-citizen air travelers to the United States be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination status before boarding an airplane.

This requirement applies to all au pairs seeking to enter the U.S. regardless of whether they are entering for the first time or returning to continue their program after traveling internationally. Au pairs are responsible for scheduling and paying for their COVID-19 test.
